The light weight and strength are the principal features of this helmet. It is ready to receive an audible altimeter and uses a strong chin strap with a sturdy and reliable buckle.
The main difference between the Military Fairwind and the Standard Fairwind is the available colors. The Standard Fairwind comes in gloss colors while the Military Fairwind comes in flat (matte) colors. In addition, the Military Fairwind has a clasp that is just like the clasp on the Evo.
Both the Standard Model and the Military Model are available with either a standard foam liner or a comfort liner, which is just like a Z-1 or Evo liner (cloth covering, washable, audible pockets).
